1891
the back of the headstock impressed C.F. Martin / New York and the inside of the body stamped C. F. Martin & Co / New York, together with a later Martin and Co. hard case, replaced bridge and repaired cracks to the body.
Length 38 inches.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition
All tuning pegs function and appear to be the originals. The bridge pegs are replaced, but the bridge itself appears to be the original, though lifting away from the top at its lower corners. The finish appears largely original but has lightly faded throughout. There are several old age cracks to the top that have been glued, but there is one age crack that is untouched. Other repaired age cracks visible to the sides and bottom of the body. There is an old loss along the lower edge of the top of the body where it meets the side panel, which appears to be repaired with an epoxy.
